So, yesterday, while sitting in sacrament meeting, Dalton took a break from his books and laid his head on my lap. (I don't think I've ever seen him so still, I checked to see if he was sick- but he was fine.) anyway- while in his quiet, meditative state, the speaker briefly mentioned the iron rod and the tree of life, to which Dalton sprang up and said, "I know about the Tree of Life Mom! And the iron rod! (he snickers) but our tree has candy bars!"
Score for the parents! We actually taught our kids something that they remembered for atleast a week!
Maybe one day he'll realize the real tree had actual fruit instead of candy bars, but for now, I'm just happen he remembered!
