We had a great Memorial Day! We hiked down to a beach (about 2.5 miles round trip, with quite a steep grade in some places) and had a picnic there. The boys did great on the hike and they loved the water. Rylan turned out to be our kamikaze wave runner. He would run straight into that freezing water and keep going until you caught him. He loved the waves! We ended up stripping him down to his diaper and letting him go for it (with Mom or Dad 2 feet away!) All the boys loved playing in the sand.
Then while Rylan and Dad were napping (okay Dad was really playing wii) I took the boys to the Memorial Day Celebration at the local cemetary. They loved looking at all the graves and seeing what war/branch the military served in and talking to the veterans. Bryant liked the color guard and history from the presentation and both boys thought the 21 gun salute was way cool!
