I know that I have had a bit of radio silence lately. I'm pregnant, shocker, I know, and I've been sick, not such a shocker. But, I'll be 12 weeks tomorrow, I will feel better tomorrow, I've decided and everything is going well and no, I don't know the sex of the baby. But, you'll be the first to know. Well, I guess Carl and I will be the first to know, you'll be the second.
We can get back to that after tomorrow, right now I want to blog about something very important to me. Veteran's Day is a month away. Most people count down the days to Christmas or their birthday, but Veteran's Day is always a big deal for me. This year, as Veteran's Day approaches, I want to bring your attention to a project that is dear to my heart. The visionary of this project is my uncle, Les Carroll, and the fallen veterans mentioned in this film pitch, Carlos Aragon and Nigel Olsen were good friends and fellow marines who served in Afghanistan with my brother in law. I encourage you to watch the following video and, if it moves you, make a donation to it's cause. There is a story behind every statistic we hear on the news and those stories deserve to be told.
I would consider it a personal favor if you could pass this along. Blog about it, post it on your facebook page, tweet it; anything that could help spread the word. The more people who know, the better the chance we have of learning the stories behind the numbers.
Watch the video and learn more about the project here.
Whaddya think?
