Happy 4th of July!

My brother Korban and his wife Vanessa came to visit us last weekend. We had a great time. Vanessa is due with her 1st baby in December, so we started the weekend off by baby gear shopping! I LOVE baby gear shopping and Carl is quite done after 3 kids worth of shopping.

Carl had bought a new surround sound system and so he and Korban took some time to get it set up. Now Carl is on to outdoor speakers. I guess he likes shopping to after all, just not for strollers.

Then we packed up the car and headed for the coast. We hopped on the ferry

and were about an hour from our destination when I got a glipse out the window of this car that had flown off the road and landed in a ditch. After I gasped, Nessa said, "There was a lady in that car". As we pulled over, so did the car in front of us, then Carl, Korban and Nessa sprinted back to the car. It had just happened and her beamer had kept her perfectly safe, her airbags didn't even deploy. She walked away, but it was a tense moment calling 911 since I had no clue as to her condition, or even where in the world we were (yay for GPS)

We carried on and arrived at our home for the night, it was this cute, little farm house. There were fields, bridges, goats, mini horses and llamas. And a dog. The boys loved it. And the owner was the cutest little old lady. She was a delight.

Then, we carried on to the beach. It was gorgeous, but quite eventful. You can read to full story here.

Here is Dalton sitting by the log that pinned down Korban...

and here is his sexy leg once it was freed...

The next day we went to the Olympic Game Farm. This is where they keep the animals that were once used in the old Disney movies. They are quite people friendly. The bear posed and smiled at us, seriously and the elk, deer, bison and buffalo stick their heads in your car looking for bread. They eat right out of your hands, so watch your fingers. Very cool.

For the 4th, we went to the church and the kids got to do a bike parade.
